"The Thriller" Goes One, Two, Three, Four Last Week

(CHADWICK, IL) –  Darren “The Thriller” Miller drove his 32D Ford Taurus late model to four consecutive top five finishes last week.  Miller competed Wednesday July 20^th in the UMP Summernationals event at 34 Raceway in Burlington (IA) where he finished 4^th.  Thursday July 21^st the Chadwick (IL) driver won the “Fourth Annual Alphabet Soup Race”, co-sanctioned by WDRL-MLRA-NCRA at I-80 Speedway, Greenwood (NE).  Friday July 22^nd  found Miller competing at Mid-Nebraska Speedway, Doniphan (NE) in the opening night of the “Pump & Pantry Late Model Nationals” where he brought home a 3^rd place finish.  Miller then filled out his card the following night, Saturday July 23^rd with a 2^nd place finish in the “late Model Nationals” feature event at Mid-Nebraska. 

Earlier in the week Miller netted two 6^th place finishes; one at Freeport (IL) Raceway Park in a UMP Summernationals event and another at I-35 Raceway in Mason City (IA), a WDRL event.  Interviewed by WDRL’s Tom Lathem after the I-80 win Miller said: “This is great compared to the way things have been going for us. We’ve struggled the last month and it’s good to finally come back and win one.”  Miller raced throughout July in UMP Summernationals and WDRL action and competed in 25 events in the last 30 days.
