(CHADWICK, IL) -  Darren Miller competed last Friday and Saturday night in the 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals held at Knoxville (IA) Raceway.  Qualifying 6th fast in Friday nights preliminary action, “The Thriller “ advanced from an 8th place starting position to win his heat race.  A 6th place finish in Friday nights “A” main then qualified Miller for a 5th place feature lineup in Saturday nights $35,000 to win, 100 lap feature event.  Saturday night found Miller running from 5th  to 7th  throughout most of the 100 lap feature race, but finishing in 9th place after losing several spots late in the race due to an ill-handling race car.

“We just slightly missed the setup Saturday night” said Miller when asked about the event.  “We considered a chassis change before the feature but decided at the last minute to stay with our original setup.  I wasn’t able to roll the corner as free as I would have liked, but we’re happy to have participated and brought home a top ten finish.”

Miller and 32D team plan to compete in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action this upcoming weekend (Oct. 7th-8th)  at Dixie Speedway, Woodstock (GA), in the $10,000 to win “Jimmy Mosteller Classic” on Friday and the $10,000 to win “Lucas Oil Dixie Shootout” on Saturday.
